4/10/2014 Time to Change Those Passwords! If you have not yet heard about the "Heartbleed" security exploit currently messing with the internet, you can read about it here in a LA Times story. What you really need to know for today is that many of your passwords may be compromised - take a few minutes to change passwords for those websites and services you use; these often contain sensitive, personal, and private information. While you are at it, take a minute to consider your general online security choices - in this case an ounce of prevention truly is worth a pound of cure. If you are a client of DRW Financial, please be sure that we take information security seriously and make every effort to stay on top of relevant news and best practices. At this time, we believe that our custodian's website is unaffected. If you have reason to believe that one of your financial accounts has been "hacked" or otherwise compromised, please contact your financial adviser or institution immediately. In any case, periodically updating your passwords and reviewing your online presence / security protocols is a good idea. Comments are closed.
